Lingua Journal

The Lingua Journal

Publication Design | Layout & Print Production

The goal of the design was to be simple, save for the cover which relies heavily on texture. The minimal interior designs allow room for the work of the artists to shine, with nothing to distract or clutter the space. Following the completion of the journals, I took the publication to press and made sure the printers had all the necessary information.

Lingua is the art and literary journal at Seattle Pacific University, featuring original artwork, poetry, and prose from the SPU community. Each academic school year Lingua publishes two shorter “zines” and one longer journal in the spring. I worked for two years as Lead Designer of Lingua and would develop the yearly theme for our journals.
